New York Immigration and Legal Services – Attorney Michelle Yu

Ignorance of the law excuses no one.  Everyone is innocent until proven guilty.  No one is above the law.  You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law. You have a right to an attorney. If you cannot afford an attorney, one will be appointed by the court for you.

All the above terms and phrases are used almost every day in countries that uphold their law.  It is for this reason that I have created a website to keep people informed of their legal rights in situations where they are accused of having violated a law.

For you to know about my law practice, I have earned my degree in law in (City, State), from the University of Alaska in 1998.  On my first years as an attorney, I gained a respectable experience for three years with the Obama law firm.  The experience with them taught me well about general law practice.  There were many instances that I was assigned to immigration cases because I can speak Chinese.  The firm has been in existence for more than 30 years and they are still serving the public well.

After having a meaningful stint with the firm, I have decided to put up my own law office so I may be in better control of the things I need to do.  Working with the firm then did not allow me to take pro bono cases where I knew they were not tough cases to handle.

Dear visitors to my website, I want you all to know that as long as I see my clients to be honest and truthful, I will be beside them all the way through until the case is settled.  I have been with prosecution as well as defense in different cases.  There are many points in trials or hearings where I see loopholes from the other side.  Be rest assured that my services are worth every penny of it.
